Seal Group Meeting 19

Canvey's life story : Hosting some important visitors!

Agenda items included

Our 19th meeting took place on 3rd January 2007 at the CPR Learning Space. We were delighted to welcome another new member from County Hall.

Peter and Nynke from Pieterburen Seehondencreche visit our wild seals.

Canvey - the Cornish seal we know most about. Rescued and rehabilitated at Gweek and released in 1997, Canvey visited the CSG's main haulout annually from 2000 and was recorded dead in 2006 in Porthleven by Cornwall Strandings Network.

CSG Display at the Strandings Forum with visitors from the Institute of Zoology, London.

If you would like to become an active member of the Cornwall Seal Group, want to come to our next meeting, have any information for us, want to ask us a question about the seals you see or just want to say you support what we are doing, we'd love to hear from you.
