Ghost

Ghost has had her pup in the same cove 5 years running. Each year she has successfully raised her pup. She is a very pretty Mum and we look forward to her visiting every year.

Chairlift

A favourite seal as he is our most frequent visitor! Chairlift has been seen on the beach over 100 times! He is often seen playing energetically with other young seals.

Wriggle

Wriggle is a beautiful seal Mum. She was first seen in Nov 2004. She has her pup here, hangs around until Feb to fatten up, then disappears until the next November.

Neil

Neil is a lovely spotty young male ex-hattie seal. He was rescued, rehabilitated & released by the Seal Sanctuary. Since his release, he’s been back on the haul out beach many times!

Hook

Hook is a strong mature male. About 12 years old, Hook was one of the first seals to be identified here in June 2000, so he is a real favourite.

Right angle

A big bull seal, Right Angle likes to prove he’s the strongest male on the beach and is always checking out his competition.

Superman

An adult male, Superman has been in the wars with a big red triangular chest scar. He has been to Newquay too, where he got 5 red fish hooks in his body & face. He’s still going strong!

Carousel

A lovely adult female with very pretty markings that make her stand out from the crowd. Carousel has been seen every year at both haulouts since November 2001.

Crosscomb

One of Crosscomb’s favourite activities is blowing bubbles from deep underwater that explode when they reach the surface. She is a beautiful young female with a lively personality!

Heart

Named after a small white marking on the side of his neck, this adult male seal has been visiting since 2000 between March and November.

Arcs

A large, strong and proud male seal. A more recent visitor, Arcs was first identified early in 2004, but his thick, rich, velvety soft fur has made him a real favourite.

Paws

A big, old male seal, who has survived an encounter with another creature - leaving him with 4 circular scars on his side that look like a giant paw print. He’s been like this since May 2002.
